How did you get to where you are?

I received my teaching credential from Chico State University. I taught in West Sacramento for three years as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher. I recently moved to the Redding area and now work at Evergreen as a 7th grade science and math teacher.

What made you study science?

I wanted to pursue a career in science because I had great science teachers in school whom made me take an interest in science. I like to study my surrounding and am very interested in the outdoors (life science and earth science mostly). I also enjoy doing experiments and learning
and teaching through hands-on activities.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Eureka, Ca which was great for learning about science but I could not bare the cold, foggy weather anymore.

Family, hobbies, interests, etc.

I have been married for just over 1 year. My husband is also a teacher. We enjoy the outdoors: Camping, boating, hiking, fishing, sports, and just having fun.
